Agnitio's Support for Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences with Allergen Detection System.
July 6, 2016.
The School of Medicine, Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS) and Center of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Reseach, National Cheng Kung University (ACIR, NCKU) have recently started a three-year research of allergen epidemiology among cross-ethnic children. The cross-ethnic epidemiology research involves investigations of genetic characteristics, changes in lifestyles, and environmental changes over the last decades of ethnic groups in Taiwan and Mongolia and how they might potentially cause allergies in children.
The BioIC® Allergen Specific-IgE Detection Kit of Agnitio Science and Technology, Inc. was chosen by medical schools of MNUMS and NCKUH in 2014 for analyzing allergens of hundreds of allergy patients. Therefore, MNUMS’ research team has visited Agnitio and completed personnel training and system handovers.
The project manager Prof. S. Munkhbayarlakh, dean of MNUMS’ medical school, comments that the BioIC® microfluidic technology and microarray technology platform is a delicate product with high reliability. Four Mongolian-specific allergen items have been handed over to Agnitio for customized production and development of technical systems. There will be expansion of research and development on allergen items in expectations that improved medical services may be provided to children with allergies in the future.
